How to Prevent Depression

We Want You!

by Bill White, Licensed Counselor

“My anxiety and mood disorders have caused me so much misery over the decades. You know, I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy!”

Hmmm. Well if that’s how you really feel, why not reach-out? Um, just in case your worst enemy is, in fact, in the throes of a mood or anxiety disorder.

From its inception, chipur was intended to be a sharing, learning, and healing blog for those enduring depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder.

I’ll underscore sharing.

To be expected, I do the bulk of the sharing around here – from a personal and clinical perspective. But it’s so important that others pitch-in and help.

Yes, “We Want You!”

I’d love for you to share your story here on chipur. How ’bout a guest post?

You don’t have to be a professional writer (geez, look what I’ve been getting away with for two years). The only requirements are having a story to tell and the heart to share it.

And if you’d like to remain anonymous – or use a pen name (how mysterious is that) – it’s fine by me.

Heck, we’ll work together on the piece, if you’d like – editing, etc.

Absolutely, I’d really like to feature your story on chipur. If you’re interested, just drop me a line and tell me what’s on your mind. It’s that easy.

I’m thinking you know what it’s like to hopelessly hurt. Why not reach-out to someone enduring the same? You’d be amazed at what your sharing and caring can do for someone!

Thank You…

Bill

I’m only new round this joint and don’t want to be too presumptuous – I’m not sure if other people think like me, but my thoughts are…. I don’t share too much about myself coz I don’t want to come off as a big, fat whinger! (that could be a Australian cultural thing).
Plus – it really takes a long time to deconstruct and understand what is happening to us – when you are in the middle of “it all”, it’s really difficult to bring into focus very many coherent thoughts.
What seems true and a revelation one day (in my head), seems like absolute balderdash, the next!

Understood, freefalling. But don’t sweat coming off as a “whinger.” We’re all here to share and learn – and it’s my belief there’s a lot of empathy floating around.
