Panic! …and Poetic Justice

by Bill on February 9, 2010

Panic! …and Poetic Justice is my panic attack and anxiety education and recovery eWorkbook, based in my endurance of decades of panic disorder, generalized anxiety, depression, alcoholism…and recovery.

In a very conversational style (I write like I talk – I’m told), I’ll give you the information you’ll need to figure out what the heck’s going on in your life and how to emerge from it all. And I’ll offer thought and feeling prompts throughout with plenty of space to respond right in the eWorkbook. I also include tons of the poems I wrote along my disorder and recovery journey.

Here’s just some of the subject matter…

Identity and Hope    Commitment    No…You Aren’t a Freak    Emails from Panic Sufferers    My Case History    Definitions and Perspective    So Why Is This Happening to Me Anyway?    Biological Contributions    Physiology and Anatomy of the Brain    Medication    The Amygdala and the Limbic System: Fear and Emotion “Head”quarters    Psychological Contributions    Misinterpretation and Overreaction    Stress    Just How in the Heck Do I Get Myself Out of This Mess?    Ten Keystones of Recovery    Alcohol Abuse    Breathing    Relaxation    Warped Thinking    Interpreaction and Interpreversal    “S.A.I.L.” Stop-Assess-Interpret-Logic    Anger    Guilt    Negative Self-Image and Low Self-Esteem    Managing Your Disorder    “S.P.A. ” Separate-Process-Action    Derealization and Depersonalization    Social Phobia    Self-Esteem    Visualization    Getting Into a Zone    Anticipatory Anxiety   “S.I.A.” Symptom Identification and Association    Control   True Freedom    How Badly Do You Want It?    What I Want From Life    How to Find Help    Remembering and Helping Others…and much, much more.

Oh – and how ’bout this. Purchasing Panic! …and Poetic Justice (with coaching) gives you access to me for some personal coaching. That’s right – you can email me for some fine tuning, and I’ll get right back with you. And if you’re really in a jam, we’ll talk on the phone. I’m offering just the eWorkbook, as well.

But before you make your decision, I want to provide some testimonials. After all, you really don’t know me from Adam…

Mr. White: I am the one who is thankful. I have wrestled with the black dog for many years without success. So your  comments and perspective are like a lifeline. Tim

Hi Bill – just wanted to say thanks for your blog and newsletters – they’re really helping me make sense of a lot of things right now. I stumbled on your writing through a random internet search and am very glad I did. I particularly appreciated your article on intrusive thoughts – I know you will understand the relief I felt at finally knowing what I was experiencing and that I wasn’t alone with these experiences.  So thanks again.  Debra

Hi Bill, I have been receiving and reading your newsletters via email for a while now. My wonderful therapist, xxxxxx, referred me to your newsletter and I can’t thank her enough. Keep writing such great newsletters! They are so encouraging! I have shared them with other friends/neighbors that experience the same kind of anxiety as me. You seem to be a remarkable person doing a remarkable service for many of us. I appreciate so much knowing you are out there and truly care for and are helping so many of us.  Candy

Bill…Thanks for the call. Why you came into my life I’ll never know, but you challenge me and that is something I have not had for a long time. I just wanted to thank you for your support and keeping me reasonably sane in a very insane time. You are doing more than your fair share for me.  Diana

I’m getting over all of this by stumbling on some articles and finding a man named Bill White on the Internet…I would be having huge hits of derealization and panic and would call him, and he would walk me through it making it seem like it would all go away. He really has saved my life and I can say I have my life back now!!!  Taylor

Hi Bill.  Thanks you so much for all your words of encouragement. Your newsletters have been a tremendous help and I love your website and all it offers. Thank you for what you are doing to help us get through this mess of panic attacks.  Inna

You’ve been just a blessing to me….  Inna

Hello, thanks for responding. I’ve just read a great deal on your blog, very valuable information.  David

That was an amazing article (on derealization and depersonalization) – I’ve never read anything which conveys the sheer terror and sense of alienation that a sufferer feels quite as well as your piece…When I read your article I got a true sense of how I felt. Thank you for that – I suddenly feel more normal!   Jon

Good website with fantastic information. keep-up the good work. Terry
