Life can be hard when you’re struggling with emotional or mental distress. Could be those frequent unpleasant reactions to stressors. Maybe we’re talking a disorder. Doesn’t matter – feeling tired, alone, hurt, and frustrated – yeah, it’s hard. And it calls for connection, diversion, perspective, encouragement, and relief.
Throughout my decades-long tussle with emotional and mental distress I’ve written a lot of poetry. It’s always been a natural coping mechanism.
Writing, and the end-product, have sure helped me out over the years. And I got to thinking – maybe my poetry would lend a hand to others in the same boat.
Well, it’s time to give it a go and find out…
Feelings & Rhymes Through Treacherous Times: Poetry, Commentary, Perspective and Relief for Anyone Struggling with Emotional or Mental Distress is a collection of 86 of my favorite poems. And the eBook includes plenty of commentary that anyone dealing with emotional or mental distress will understand. I’ve categorized the poems under Reflection, Frustration, Inspiration, and Love. I’m thinking any of us can relate to all four.
The mission of the book is simple: I want you to connect with my writing – my struggles – so you can experience a sense of positive perspective and relief regarding your own suffering. This is light and meaningful reading you can turn to time and again.
